The Act does not use the word redundancy. Between seven and ten years, it pays pro rata if your employer dismissed you for a reason other than your conduct, capacity or performance (s 95(4)(c)(ii)). A redundancy is a dismissal for that kind of reason, so it qualifies.
Under seven years: nothing is payable, even on redundancy.
Seven to ten years: you are paid full pay for the same share of 8.67 weeks that your service bears to ten years, including part years (s 95(7)).
Ten years or more: you are paid automatically for your whole period of service, less leave already taken (s 95(3)). Business Queensland gives the example of a worker terminated after 12 completed years with no leave taken, who is paid 10.4 weeks.
If you were casual or regular part-time at any time, the hours formula applies: total ordinary hours over your whole service, divided by 52, times 8.6667, divided by 10 (s 105).
If the business is transferred to a new employer, your service carries over (s 132). This also applies if your old employer dismissed you within one month before the transfer and the new employer hired you within three months after (s 132(1)(b)).
If your employer stood you down or ended your job because of slackness of trade and then re-employed you, your service is not broken, but the gap does not count (s 134(7), s 134(9)).
Common questions

No long service leave is payable before seven years of continuous service.
My employer sold the business and the new owner hired me. What happens to my long service leave?
Your service with the old employer counts as service with the new employer (s 132(2), (3)).
