longserviceleave.com is a free set of long service leave calculators and guides for employees in every Australian state and territory.
It is built and maintained by Sri Murugan Systems, an independent software studio. We are not a government agency, a law firm or a payroll company, and the site is not legal or financial advice.
How the calculators work
Each state has its own rules, written into a rules file from the Acts and the regulators, with the section for every figure. The calculator runs in your browser; the dates and pay you enter are not sent anywhere.

Who writes and checks the content
Every calculator, rule and guide on this site is written and maintained by Sri Murugan Systems. Each figure is taken from the state Act, the state regulator, the ATO or the AASB, with the section or page quoted beside it, and the calculators are re-run against the regulators' own worked examples every time the site is built (see calculator accuracy).
The rules were last reviewed on 3 November 2026. Changes to the law are recorded on the changes page.
