Estimate your scheme entitlement
QLeaveEnter the service the scheme has recorded for you. This is an estimate; the scheme's own statement is what counts.

Before tax, without overtime.
Find your number and check your service

The state long service leave calculator does not apply to this scheme. If you are covered, your leave is worked out and paid by QLeave under its own rules. Check your service record with the scheme.
Who is covered
- Cleaners and supervisors in Queensland's contract cleaning industry.
- Trainees, casual, part-time and full-time employees.
- Sole-trader subcontractors and labour-hire workers.
- Not covered: partners, company directors and government workers.
When you qualify
You need 10 years (3,650 service credits).
What you get
You get 8.67 weeks for each 3,650 days of service, plus pro rata for extra days (s 72(1)). The amount is S x 0.867 x R / 52, where S is the sum of your moderated wages and R is the current annual rate of pay for your classification level (s 73(1)). Each payment must be at least 5 days unless it is your last (s 73(3)).
Leaving early, illness, retirement and death
- A proportionate payment with at least 2,555 days of service if you intend to permanently stop cleaning work in the contract cleaning industry, or if you die (s 72(2)).
- Your registration is cancelled when you leave.
- There is no age-based, retirement or incapacity entitlement in the Act.
- A personal representative can claim for a deceased worker who had an entitlement (s 71(4)).
How it is paid
QLeave pays you from the fund. You cannot be paid by both QLeave and your employer for the same period. Employers may claim partial reimbursement.
How to claim
Claim through the QLeave contract cleaning worker portal at https://portal.qleave.qld.gov.au/Public/Member?cfid=2. Each claim must be at least 5 days unless it is your last (s 73(3)).
Before you rely on this
- A Bill before the Queensland Parliament in 2026 (Industrial Relations and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2026, cl 17) would change the rules on payment instead of leave in s 71(2)-(3). Check whether it has passed before relying on the current rules.
- Leaving the industry before 2,555 days (about 7 years) gives no payment.
- You cannot be paid by QLeave and your employer for the same period.
